This week we visit Putney, an area of huge political significance.
St Mary the Virgin Church was the site of the Putney Debates, which were massively influential in the development of modern democracy, William Pitt the Younger lived (and duelled) in Putney
and Thomas Cromwell and Clement Attlee, both important figures in British political history, were born here.
We also visit some notable graves at Putney Vale Cemetery and pop over to Mr Benn's house.
